These are the first interior pictures of the next generation Opel Astra, which will debut at this September's Frankfurt Motor Show and will reach Opel dealers in Ireland in early January 2010.
Echoing the flowing forms of the bodywork, the interior conveys sweeping, dynamic lines and sculptural contours, continuing Opel's paradigm shift in design as seen first with the launch of the Insignia last year.
The car marks a major shift towards premium quality and design in the compact sector.
Consistency is evident with Opel's recurring wing and blade motifs that were first introduced in the Insignia and are carried forward in a bold new way with the Astra.
The blade theme is expressed in details like the gooseneck shape of the door grab handles and the trim for gearshift moulding and steering wheel.
