Having just celebrated their 2nd Birthday Dublin Harley Davidson is mighty pleased.

Combined with Waterford Harley Davidson operation, the streets of Ireland rumble to the tune of Milwaukee metal. Their introductory motorcycle is an 883cc V-twin and it accounts for 38.05% of sales in its segment (11.46% up on last year).

When added to Buell sales this rises to 40%, with BMW in second at 27.62% and third spot jointly held by Honda and Suzuki with 6.67%. Harley Davidson and Buell sales accounted for close to 50% of the market in March.

In the 600cc+ segment, Honda is first with 23.58%, followed closely by Harley Davidson with 21.54%, with BMW in third at 17.07%.

An upbeat Jeff Murphy of Dublin Harley Davidson said that he was delighted with the response of customers to their Ballymount showrooms and the model range that allows Learners to own a Harley from day one of their motorcycling lives.

Waterford Harley’s Lenny Burns is equally buoyant as both men and women seek to put some Rock ‘n Roll to their lives by the addition of some heavy metal. ‘We can tailor our Harleys to suit individual sizes, the tall and the small’ said Lenny, ‘ and place riders on a top quality Learner legal motorcycle that will put pride into their ride’.
