Audi AG assumed responsibility for Audi distribution in Ireland on 1 October. As a part of the newly acquired Volkswagen Group Ireland, Audi is expanding its operations to 17 staff from seven.
"The establishment of Audi Ireland is a part of our global strategy to become the most successful prestige brand," says Peter Schwarzenbauer, Member of the Board of Management responsible for Sales and Marketing at Audi AG.
Fintan Knight is the new Head of Audi Ireland, which will incorporate a core team of dedicated Audi employees from the existing organisation.
Fintan Knight was born in Ireland in Ennis, Co Clare and has spent most of his working life at Audi AG, most recently as the General Manager of the Asia Pacific Region.
John Hayes, long time Sales Manager for Audi in Ireland, will assume the role of Deputy Director responsible for Marketing and Public Relations.
