The Mazda 2 has won the 2008 World Car of the Year title.
The cute super-mini from the Japanese carmaker has taken top spot in the global car of the year competition that features 39 different models.
The pint-sized car won the award at the New York automotive show. 47 international judges chose the car ahead of such names as Ford’s Mondeo and the Mercedes C Class.
