From Marilyn Monroe-inspired walking tours to a charity firewalk, there is plenty happening in Dublin this weekend.
Marilyn Monroe Walking Tour of Dublin
The Five Lamps Arts Festival is a showcase of art forms, including literature, dance, music, visual art, and theatre throughout April. An unmissable event this weekend is the Marilyn Monroe walking tour, a unique experience that blends pop culture with panoramic city sights. Taking place on Saturday, this intimate walking tour of Dublin landmarks and characters and their connections to Marilyn Monroe will run from from 12 pm - 1:30 pm. Tickets cost €17.07.

Walk across the coals, conquer your fears, and show your support for PsyCare's mental health and harm reduction initiatives. On Saturday, 18 April, Scribblestown Gardens in Dublin 15 will see a charity firewalk experience take place, led by Gerry Dalton, which will work to raise a total of €20,000. Registration starts at 6pm. Participants must be 18 years or older.
On Sunday, 19 April, Alternative Dublin is hosting a flower pot painting class from 3pm - 5pm in This Must Be The Place on Arran Quay. Tickets cost €29.93, which covers a flower pot, painting essentials, and an instructor who will guide you through the artistic process.

REIC (pronounced 'wreck') is a multilingual spoken word night featuring poetry, rap, music and storytelling. Taking place on Friday, 17 April, as part of The Five Lamps Festival, the show will be hosted by Ciara Ní É, who founded REIC in 2015 to celebrate our oral poetry tradition. Special guests include Rónán Ó Snodaigh, Cara Park, Pádaí de Cléir, and Joe Ó Fátharta. Tickets €17.07.
