Series 12 of Home of the Year has returned to our screens, bringing viewers inside a fantastic mix of homes from across Ireland and showcasing the late Hugh Wallace's final episodes.

Each week, the judges visit three exceptional homes and score them out of 10 based on individuality, functionality, and clever design. The home with the highest combined score in each episode will advance to the grand final in April, where one lucky homeowner will be crowned the winner of the series.

Erica and Liam spent four years bringing their dream home to life, working steadily throughout the COVID pandemic to complete their exquisite new-build bungalow in County Mayo.

Georgian-inspired in design, the home features an elegant H-shaped layout, creating a serene outdoor courtyard that acts as a private extension of the living space - a refined retreat for the couple and their four children.

Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, from the glamorous walk-in wardrobe to the careful selection of finishes, reflecting the couple’s eye for understated luxury.

All the main rooms are oriented toward the back garden, allowing the family to close the door on the outside world and focus fully on home life. Bathed in natural light, the interiors are bright, spacious and inviting, blending timeless elegance with contemporary comfort.

Erica and Liam describe their home as a bright, classic yet contemporary family sanctuary, a space where sophisticated design meets practical living, offering both style and tranquillity for everyday family life.

Laoise lives in a turret-style home in Galway. The house is a top-down property, featuring an upstairs kitchen and dining area, to make the most of the view, with the two bedrooms located downstairs.

It was not in a liveable condition when Laoise first moved in, and so she carried out renovations, gutting the building, only leaving the internal doors and fireplace.

After a deep retrofit, the house now has an open-plan kitchen and dining area with new plumbing and wiring, which makes the most of the space. The interior style is classic and timeless, the rooms decorated with minimal pieces of furniture that Laoise believes will stand the test of time.

Home of the Year airs Tuesdays at 7pm on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player. Click through the photo gallery above to see inside this week's homes.
