When it comes to wedding planning, it is all too easy to become overwhelmed by the ever-growing to-do list.

To take just a small bit of research off your plate, we've found just some of the incredibly talented wedding photographers that Ireland has to offer.

If you and your other half hate the thought of posing for pictures and staring into a camera on your happy day, these artists promise to capture the magic through candid moments.

Michael Nolan Wedding Photography

Michael Nolan fell in love with photography as a teenager and has been obsessed with capturing moments, big and small, on camera ever since. Based in Dublin, he offers cinematic shots of couples on their big day, playing with light, rain, and candid moments to record the emotion of the day.

Andrea De Rossi

Based in Kilkenny, Andrea De Rossi is a documentary-style photographer who works to tell stories through the emotional, funny, and unscripted moments that make up a wedding day. Although he does offer portrait and staged photos, he believes that the unplanned moments stay with us longer because they capture a person who is completely in the moment.

John Gilloley

A lover of film, colour, Mexican food and the music of Tom Waits, John Gillooley is a photographer who is focused on expressing the personality, vibrancy, and fun of a wedding day. Winner of the 'Golden Camera European Wedding Photographer of the Year 2024' award, the Dublin-based photographer has a colourful portfolio of couples smiling ear to ear.

Anouska Love Story

Editorial and documentary style wedding photographer Anouska works with both digital and film, allowing her to deliver imagery inspired by fashion and fine art. Her romantic style focuses on "natural, expressive, and emotionally honest" moments, allowing each image to be shaped by the light, movement, and atmosphere of the day.

Sarah McKernan

Working with colourful film, sharp digital, and even shooting some short clips on super 8, Sarah McKernan's work feels warm, cosy, nostalgic and delightfully cinematic. Her documentary-style approach allows her to romanticise the small, dreamy moments that appear throughout a wedding day.

Chris Copeland

A cinephile at heart, Chris Copeland is a luxury Irish wedding photographer who makes the most unassuming moments feel worthy of a film screen. Working with both film and digital, he promises to deliver images that stand out from the crowd.

Ruth Connolly

Sligo-based photographer Ruth Connolly is a self-confessed romantic who has fallen in love with love. Her approach to wedding photography is "relaxed, non-intrusive, and full of heart", while she describes her style of photography as "artistic, clean and creative". She promises to blend into the background, allowing you and your loved ones to enjoy every second.
