The RTÉ Guide's Christmas issue is a staple in households across Ireland, and this year's cover is a stunner.
First published in 1961, the RTÉ Guide is Ireland's largest-selling lifestyle and entertainment weekly magazine, with the annual Christmas RTÉ Guide reaching almost 300,000 homes over the festive period.
Every December, the double issue becomes a staple of Irish households thanks to the all-important two-week TV and radio listings (from December 20, 2025, to January 2, 2026), 14-day Christmas TV and movie planners, exclusive celebrity interviews, Christmas food, fashion, puzzles, competitions and plenty more.
This year's festive cover was created by Irish illustrator Shannon Bergin, who hails from Birr, Co Offaly, and graduated from Limerick School of Art and Design.
Describing herself as an "avid doodler and tea drinker", Bergin has drawn a magical Christmas Eve scene, with children gazing out the window to catch a glimpse of Santa and his sleigh.
Capturing the warmth of Christmas, this illustration radiates joy. Shannon is also a big winner of this year’s Irish Book Awards, where her illustration for Run Home, Little Fox, written by Tom McCaughren and Erica McGann, won the Children’s Book of the Year.
The Christmas RTÉ Guide lands on shelves across the country on Monday, 8 December.
