From alternative comedy and a LGBTQ+ friendly pub quiz to flea markets and free Halloween events, there's plenty happening across Dublin this weekend.

MATE Comedy Variety Show - Halloween Special

On Saturday, 25 October, Bello Bar will play host to an alternative comedy night featuring Ireland's sketch artists, stand-up comedians, improvisors, clowns, and that new type of comedy that doesn't have a name yet. This month's theme is 'Real Life Horrors' and fancy dress is heavily encouraged. Ticket prices range from €10-€15 on Eventbrite.

Trick or Table Quiz?

The Flaming Feathers Badminton Club is hosting a spooktacular edition of their annual table quiz fundraiser in Slattery's Pub D4 on Saturday, 24 October. Running from 7:30pm - 11pm, the pub quiz has a €10 entry fee and max four people per team. All are welcome - don't worry if you don't have a team. Costumes are encouraged as there will be best dressed prizes on the night!

Light Painting Photoshoot

The Shoot Ireland are giving photographers a chance to experiment with light trails, long exposure techniques, and colourful effects to create truly striking images. Taking place on Saturday, 25 October, from 5pm - 7:30pm at Dun Laoghaire Baths. Open to all levels. Tickets cost €8.48 on Eventbrite.

Dublin Tattoo Convention

From 24-26 October, the RDS is hosting the fourth edition of the International Dublin Tattoo Convention. The show will bring together world-class international tattoo artists with the amazing tattoo talent of Ireland and exhibit their incredible skills. Tickets cost €17.29 on Eventbrite.

Halloween Flea Market

On Sunday, 26 October, from 11am - 5pm, We Love Markets will host a Halloween Flea Market at The Digital Hub in the Liberties. Free to enter.

IFI Horrorthon 2025

From 23 - 27 October, the Irish Film Institute is hosting a Horrorthon from 6:30pm - 10:30pm. This year's festival will open on Thursday with the Irish premiere of Chris Stuckman’s Shelby Oaks. You can see the full programme here.

Spooky Arts & Crafts across Fingal Libraries

From Saturday, 11 October - Friday, 31 October, Fingal Libraries will host Halloween-themed events from 10am - 5pm. These free events are suitable for children, families and adults, with scary storytelling, craft, costumes, movies, quiz time, pumpkin collages, creative writing and monster mask making.

Frontlines: Irish Journalists Abroad Exhibition

This October, EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum will open its latest exhibition, Frontlines: Irish Journalists Abroad, shining a light on the powerful stories of Irish reporters whose work has influenced world events and reshaped ideas of Irish identity across the globe. The exhibit launches on 23 October, visit EPIC for more information.

Polish-Irish Heritage Festival

ANCESTRAL NEST is a the Polish-Irish heritage festival celebrating 1,000 years of the Polish Kingdom on Saturday, 25 October, at Inchicore Social & Sport Club. Running from 10am to midnight (kids until 7 pm), visitors can expect viking stories, folk music, games for kids, scouting, Polish cuisine, pottery workshops, and more. Admission is free but donations are welcome.
