From pumpkin carving in Smithfield to a 2000's-themed quiz in Dublin 2, there is plenty to keep you busy in the city this weekend.

Dublin Theatre Festival 2025

Running from 25 September to 12 October, the Dublin Theatre Festival will see a slew of live performances play across the county. From Three Sisters in the Gaiety Theatre to 16 Longfords in the Fumbally Stables, there are performances to suit every audience across a variety of gorgeous spaces.

Pumpkin Carving (for grown ups)

Alternative Dublin is hosting a night for pumpkin carving and chats at 3 Queen St, Smithfield. Tickets cost €28.85, which includes use of tools, stencils, and everything you need to create your perfect jack-o’-lantern (minus the mess at home). This venue is BYOB.

Girlhood Quiz Night with Happy You're Here Club

Get ready for a fun night of girl power trivia with the Happy You're Here Club at Hyde Dublin. Celebrating growing up in the 2000s and beyond, quizzers can expect rounds on the movies we obsessed over, the fashion we loved (and cringed at), and all the iconic girlhood moments that defined a generation. Come solo or with friends on Sunday, 12 October. Tickets cost €22.42.

Spoons: Neurodivergent Comedy

On Saturday, 20 October, Hysteria Comedy Club is hosting a night of neurodivergent/disability friendly comedy headlined by Ben Morgan at Sin é. Running from 7pm - 9pm, the line-up features Maria Cunningham, Selma Page, Saoirse Smith, and more. Tickets cost between €5 – €13.85 on Eventbrite.

Kids Halloween Art Workshop Raheny (Age 8-13)

On Sunday, 12 October, from 10am - 1pm, The Jam are hosting a kids Halloween art workshop in CARA Hall, All Saints Drive, Dublin. The three hour event is suitable for children aged 8-13 (for younger children, they have an afternoon workshop). Tickets cost €17.50 – €35 on Eventbrite.
