Whether you're a scream queen or a scaredy cat, Halloween offers plenty of ways to celebrate the turning of the season, and there's no better way to make the most of it than visiting a pumpkin patch.

Luggwoods Fall Festival, Saggart, Dublin

Nestled in the Dublin Mountains, this spooky festival is filled with Halloween activities for visitors of all ages. Start with the Spooktacular Luggwoods Enchanted Forest Trail, meeting charmingly spooky characters who need your help gathering ingredients for the Witch's Magical Potion. Papa's Pumpkin Patch not only lets you pick your own pumpkin but features a range of activities designed to make the most of the season. Pumpkins After Dark - Newbridge House and Farm, Donabate, Dublin

For something slightly different to the usual pumpkin patch experience, head to Pumpkins After Dark, a new and thrilling Halloween experience. Featuring over 10,000 hand-carved pumpkins along a one-kilometre pathway, on this immersive experience you'll encounter classic Halloween characters, fairies, dragons, movie heroes, and beloved pop culture icons. Clonfert's Haunted Harvest Festival, Kildare

Located around 40 minutes from Dublin, Clonfert Pet Farm is a delightful spot to visit year-round, but for Halloween, it transforms into a spooky Halloween-lover's paradise. Running on selected dates from 18 - 31 October, this autumn spectacular features everything from pumpkin picking to fun fair rides. K2 Alpacas Pumpkin Patch, Wicklow

A firm favourite for outdoorsy types looking to do something different, K2 Alpacas have partnered with Down Syndrome Centre for their pumpkin patch event this year. As well as picking out your own pumpkin, a range of activities await you, including ghoulish games, selfie spots and Halloween-themed photobooths, meeting the thrilling skeleton crew and, of course, meeting the alpacas. Nore Valley Park, Kilkenny

Overlooking the River Nore, Nore Valley Park will transform from a thriving farm and camping site to a spooky, cosy pumpkin patch for Halloween. Enjoy a tractor and trailer ride, race around on the go-karts, bounce on the bouncy castle, and meet the friendly animals with petting and handling sessions, plus bottle-feeding. Clissmann Horse Caravans, Wicklow

A family-run business, Clissmann's pumpkin patch has become a firm favourite for Halloween lovers of all ages. Choose to traverse the pumpkin patch with either a wheelbarrow or a friendly donkey to help cart your pick back to your car. Tickets cost €15.25 for adults and kids, with children under 1 going free. Funtasia's Pumpkin Patch Festival, Drogheda

Running on select dates from 11-31 October 2025 at Funtasia Theme Park, Drogheda, this Halloween festival is a one-stop shop when it comes to fun activities. Featuring train rides to the pumpkin patch, pumpkin picking, carving and painting, Halloween movie showings and more, there's plenty to keep the whole family happy. Galway Pumpkin Patch, Galway

Based on a family farm only 30 minutes from Galway City, this fully outdoor event proudly operates in all weather - bar Orange and Red weather warnings! - and has everything you need for a fabulous family day out.
