Things to do in Dublin this weekend (October 3-5)

From celebrating the release of brand new Taylor Swift songs at The Grand Social to embracing spooky season in Glasnevin, there is plenty to do in Dublin this weekend.

Swiftogeddon

On Friday, 3 October, the legendary night dedicated to worshipping at the altar of Taylor Swift is heading to The Grand Social for an album release party for TS12: The Life of a Showgirl. Expect non-stop Swift all night, with tracks from the new album, plus deep cuts, extended mixes, fan favourites and all the hits. Don some glitter and get ready to hit the dancefloor. Tickets available on Eventbrite, the event starts at 11pm and runs until 3am.

Music in Monkstown

On Saturday, 4 October, Monkstown will host an evening of beautiful classical music with Finghín Collins (piano), Gwendolyn Masin (violin) and John Finucane (clarinet). Running from 7:30pm - 9:30pm in Monkstown Parish Church, tickets cost between €15-€25 on Eventbrite.

Storytelling of Irish Myths and Legends

On Sunday, 5 October, at 4pm, storyteller and poet Séan Cuddy will perform a 90 minute one man theatre show in Sin é, Dublin 7. Performing his own written versions of famous Irish myths such as Oisín and The Land of Tír na nÓg and The Children of Lír, the show is suitable for ages 10 and up. Make A Mosaic

On Saturday, 4 October, Alternative Dublin are hosting a crafty event where ticket holders can make their own mosaic. Taking place at 3 Queen Street, Smithfield, the event requires zero previous experience but attendees must be over the age of 18. Tickets cost €33.15 on Eventbrite, which includes a board for your design, mosaic tiles, glue, grout and all other necessary equipment for you to tile a masterpiece.

Harvest Food Fair with Fingal Food Circle

This free, family-friendly event is coming to the Séamus Ennis Arts Centre on Sunday, 5 October, from 11am - 4pm. The annual event will be brimming with artisan stalls, local producers, and homemade delights that’ll make your heart (and belly) full. From pumpkin bakes and homemade jams to warm sourdough, Irish cheeses, and soul-soothing soups. It’s a celebration of the harvest, the hearth, and the heart of community. Oktoberfest 2025 At The Bernard Shaw

Throughout the month of October, Eatyard at The Bernard Shaw will bring a slice of Bavaria to Drumcondra with steins of beer* and hot pretzels along with live music, fun and activities. Try your hand at some German games like the Stein-Holding competition, Hasselhoff karaoke, Lederhösen Limbo, the spicy currywurst challenge, and much more. Tickets from €16.67 on Eventbrite.

CIRCO Brazilian Events presents 'Beco Do Guarda Chuva' (Alley Of The Umbrellas)

On Sunday, 5 October, from 5pm to 11pm, Zozimus Bar on Anne's Lane in Dublin 2 will play host to Circo Ireland's last instalment of Dublin's most vibrant street party. Beco Do Guarda Chuva will celebrate Brazilian culture with live music from 353 Samba Club, with support from renowned maestro DJ OTTA. All nationalities are welcome to attend and experience the amazing Brazilian music, fare and atmosphere from our local Brazilian community. Tickets from €9 available through Instagram @circoireland.

Buzzfest event: Upcycling and Patchwork Workshop

On Saturday, 4 October, at Panama Scout Hall in Phibsborough, D07 EK20, there will be a hands-on upcycling workshop. Running from 2pm-3pm, beginners and seasoned crafters are encouraged to bring a piece of clothing you'd like to upcycle as well as fabric scraps to share (there will be some fabric available) and other old clothes. Optional materials: Scissors, sewing needles, patches or other items to sew onto your garment. Tickets €12 on Eventbrite.

Vintage Tea Trips Halloween x Glasnevin Dead Interesting Tour

This October, Vintage Tea Trips and Glasnevin Cemetery are joining forces to show you a Dead Interesting side of our city and the inhabitants who once lived there. Running from 1pm – 4pm, the tour starts at Stephen's Green with a special tour of Dublin, and ends in Glasnevin with a pint* in the Gravediggers.

Ticket holders will learn about the origins of Halloween, enjoy a full afternoon tea of homemade sandwiches, warm scones and delicious desserts, and take a fascinating journey through the hidden depths of Glasnevin Cemetery on the Dead Interesting Tour.
