From music festivals in Dun Laoghaire to ISL tours of Dublin Castle, there is plenty happening across Dublin this weekend.

Dun Laoghaire Summerfest

Running from Friday, 4 July - Sunday, 13 July, the festival will see over 70 acts perform. Musical acts include The Beat (UK), The 4 of Us, Mik Pyro, Sack, The Frank & Walters, David Kitt, New Jackson, Daft Punk Experience, and more, while comedians like Enya Martin, Joe Rooney, and Emma Doran will bring the laughs. Retro Games Day Feat:The 8-Bit Funk Band

On Sunday, 6 July, the Lighthouse in Dun Laoghaire is hosting a retro games event. Running from 2pm - 4:30pm, there will live music from The 8-Bit Funk Band performing all your favourite computer game soundtracks live in concert while you game. Tickets cost €17.07.

The Cave

Running until 18 July in the Abbey Theatre, The Cave is a world premiere production written by acclaimed writer Kevin Barry and starring comedian Tommy Tiernan. The dark comedy follows the story of the McRae brothers as they sleep rough in the mountains of south County Sligo. In trouble with the law, the two have only each other to rely on as they try to restart their van, their lives and their WiFi connection. Ticket prices vary, visit AbbeyTheatre.ie for more info.

Quirk Market

The Quirk Market returns to The Tara Building in Dublin 2 on Sunday, 6 July. Running from 12pm to 5pm, all are welcome to support queer artists, makers, collectors, and independent small businesses.

Bum Notes: The Improvized Musical & Auto-Correbt

On Friday, 4 July, an improvised comedy musical is coming to Dublin's Smock Alley Theatre. Kicking off at 7:30pm, the show will include a special guest performance from American improv legend, Derek Miller (Scrubs, The Goldbergs, Superstore). Tickets cost €19.

Bluebell Community Celebration

Bluebell - a small suburb located near Drimnagh - is hosting a community celebration this Saturday, 5 July, from 2pm-5pm. This free afternoon of dance, music and games aims to celebrate the community spirit and creativity of Bluebell and its neighbouring areas. You can join dance workshops, play music bingo, and enjoy free refreshments.

Bingo N Beats

On Saturday, July 5, a night of summer bangers is coming to the Bernard Shaw in Drumcondra. Kicking off at 6pm, there will be music, prizes, and fun with this BNB Special. Tickets from €22.42.

Irish Sign Language (ISL) Tour at Dublin Castle

On Sunday, 6 July, Dublin Castle is providing a free tour delivered by one of their Tour Guides and a qualified ISL Interpreter. Running from 2pm - 3pm, the tour will explore the history of the site, from its Viking beginnings to its current role in state entertaining. This tour is free of charge but booking is advised.

Adult Drawing Classes

All skill levels are welcome to join Rua Red's adult drawing class on Saturday, 5 July, at Rua Red, South Dublin Arts Centre. Tickets cost €6 per class on Eventbrite (€8 drop-in fee) and all materials are provided. Classes run from 3:30pm - 5pm.

Empanadas for Gaza

On Sunday, 6 July, Table 45 will donate 100% of the profit from every empanada sold to the Palestine Children's Relief Fund. The Dublin 2 restaurant, run by the two Daniels, will be open from 12pm. Booking is advised.
