From free Irish language celebrations in Smithfield, to a €10 morning rave in Rialto, there is plenty to be doing in Dublin this weekend.

Phizzfest

Phizzfest is a voluntary community and arts festival that has been running in Phibsborough since 2009. Over this coming weekend, with the aim of bringing people together, the festival will host a series of art exhibitions, walking tours, live music, comedy, film screenings, yoga sessions, and much more. Lá Mór na Gaeilge

When: Sunday, 12pm-5pm
Where: Ferime Market Square, Smithfield
How much: Free but must register

Lá Mór na Gaeilge is a celebration of all aspects of the Irish language, with Ferime Market Square coming to life with all sorts of street displays. Between music, talks, craic and culture there will be something for everyone - and it's all free. If you are fully fluent, or just with a few words – everyone is welcome. There will be family areas, speed-friending events, boxercise classes, crazy bingo and more.

WellFest 2025

When: Saturday - Sunday
Where: The Royal Hospital Kilmainham
How much: €78

Europe's largest outdoor health, fitness and wellness festival returns to The Royal Hospital Kilmainham this weekend with a jam-packed line-up. There will be live workouts, yoga, meditation, zumba, dance parties and delicious food as well as seminars with industry experts like Jennifer Rock (aka The Skin Nerd), entrepreneur Deliciously Ella, sex and wellbeing expert Jenny Keane and many more.

A Pint of the Past

When: Saturday at 7pm
Where: St. Patrick's Cathedral
How much: €22.86

Culture Date with Dublin 8 is hosting a series of events in Dublin this weekend, including a very special evening in St. Patrick's Cathedral. Celebrate the history of pubs and breweries in the area. Hosted by Donal Fallon, attendees will learn about the Great Liberties Whiskey Fire of 1875, and the rise of Daniel O’Connell’s Sons Ale Brewery, which was once pumping out half a million litres of ale a day.

Daybreak (Morning Coffee Rave w/ Nialler9, DJ Ceese)

When: Friday at 6:45am
Where: Playground Studios, Rialto
How much: €10

DJ Nialler9 and the Outline Sessions are kicking the weekend off with an early morning rave to get you moving. Kicking of at 6.45am at the Playground Studios in Rialto, DJs Nialler9 and Ceese will soundtrack your morning with classic house and disco, afrobeats, and singalong anthems as the sun rises on the Royal Canal. This is a family-friendly event and ticket price includes coffees, teas and hot chocolate.

DICFF Comedian of the Year Competition - Heat 1

When: Saturday, 7 - 9:30pm
Where: The Dublin Liberties Distillery
How much: €7.50 or 3 for €15 (one drink included in ticket price)

Dublin's International Comedy Film Festival will be hosting the first round heat of their Comedian of the Year competition this Saturday evening. Some of the funniest up-and-coming comedians will battle it out on stage for a coveted spot in the grand final at this year's festival.

Mindful Weaving Workshop

When: Saturday, 4pm - 6pm
Where: Rua Red, South Dublin Arts Centre
How much: €45

Textile artist Cristina Nicotra is hosting a two-hour exploration of the ancient art of weaving in Tallaght's Rua Red. This introductory workshop will introduce beginners to the fundamental techniques on a cardboard loom, allowing you to create your own beautiful textile coaster. Perfect for complete beginners.
