Every year, event organisers across Ireland scramble to outdo each other, planning cracking events with the most egg-stravagant titles imaginable!

From outdoor adventures and Easter festivals to woodland trails and even a beach clean with a twist, there are plenty of egg-citing events happening across Ireland this spring.

Whether it’s a classic egg hunt, a farmyard day out or something a little different, these Easter outings are packed with activities, animals, crafts (and chocolate!).

1. Easter Weekend Festival

2. Easter at Airfield
Dundrum, Dublin | 15-27 April

Dublin’s only working urban farm and gardens will host a range of new activities this Easter including a Fairy Trail through the farm and gardens, speciality fairy crafts and classic Easter games such as egg and spoon races. You can also take part in interactive egg science experiments and meet the estate’s spring lambs, hens, pigs, donkeys, Jersey cows and Irish Angus cattle.

Exploring the 38-acre estate is bound to work up an appetite and Overends Kitchen is ready to serve a delicious selection of dishes made with organic produce grown on-site. Seasonal Easter treats will also be on offer, making it the perfect spot for a family lunch.

3. Easter at Westport Estate

Let loose at Ireland's most exciting new adventure park – Westport Adventure - open every day during Easter holidays. Brave the high ropes, race down giant slides, bounce through net parks, or soar across the zipline – it’s action-packed fun for families who love a challenge.

4. Easter Egg Hunt
Brigit's Garden, Galway | 19, 20 and 21 April

Brigit’s Garden is set to welcome families for a fun-filled Easter weekend with its popular Easter Egg Hunt. Taking place on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 12pm to 4pm, children of all ages can join the seasonal adventure. Younger ones can enjoy a Mini Hunt in the Celtic Gardens, while older children take on the Mighty Hunt along the Sun Trail, following clues to solve a festive puzzle and claim a chocolate treat.

Alongside the egg hunt, plenty of activities will keep little ones entertained, including arts and crafts, face painting, egg-fishing in the fountain and fun games in the marquee. The Easter Bunny will also make an appearance, adding to the excitement of a lively spring day out.

Looking for an outdoor thrill this Easter? Head to Squirrel’s Scramble, where you can climb, swing and zip through the treetops in the stunning woodlands of Killruddery House & Gardens, Bray. With rope bridges, Tarzan swings, climbing nets and over 20 zip lines, it’s a brilliant challenge for kids aged 5 and up as well as teens and adults. The course features six progressive levels, offering plenty of excitement for all abilities.

8. Easter Festival

9. Alternative Egg Hunt
Various Beaches | Easter

This Easter, Clean Coasts is swapping chocolate for conservation with an egg hunt of a different kind. Families, friends and coastal groups are being encouraged to head to their local beaches to search for shark, skate and ray eggs—also known as "Mermaid’s Purses"—as part of An Taisce’s Clean Coasts Programme and the #2MinuteBeachClean campaign.

Running nationwide throughout the Easter break, the initiative invites beachgoers to combine litter picking with a fun egg case hunt. These leathery egg cases, often found tangled in seaweed at low tide, offer valuable insights for marine scientists tracking species and identifying nursery areas. Participants can record their finds with The Ray Project or the National Biodiversity Data Centre’s Explore Your Shore! programme to help build a clearer picture of Ireland’s marine life.

As part of the campaign, a special clean and egg case hunt will take place in Kilmore Quay, Co Wexford on 22 April at 2pm. Everyone is welcome to join the #2MinuteBeachClean team at The Burrow Beach steps for a short clean-up followed by a guided hunt. For those unable to attend, Clean Coasts is encouraging people to plan their own outings using tips and resources available online.

10. Easter Egg Hunt @ The Sligo Folk Park

Celebrate Easter in style at the Sligo Folk Park Easter Treasure Hunt Event. The day offers a fun-filled adventure for the whole family, with clues leading to an Easter treat and the chance to create your own Easter Bonnet or Top Hat for the lively Easter Parade. The Easter Bunny will also be hopping about, providing the perfect photo opportunity.

Running daily from 12pm to 4pm, the event is included in general admission, offering great value for a memorable day out.

Little ones can enjoy face painting, arts and crafts and storytelling sessions while older kids and grown-ups can explore the award-winning Irish Racehorse Experience, join a guided tour and stroll through the beautifully kept gardens. 12. Easter Egg Hunt
Castle Adventure Open Farm, Donegal | 19-21 April

Hop into Easter fun at Castle Adventure Open Farm, just outside Ballyshannon. This much-loved family spot is celebrating the season with a special Easter trail where kids can crack clues, solve riddles and claim a chocolate egg—plus, there’s a chance to meet the Easter Bunny along the way.

There’s plenty more to explore, too, from cuddly animals and lamb bottle-feeding to indoor play zones, sandpits and a massive outdoor adventure playground. With indoor and outdoor attractions, Castle Adventure is a great family day out—rain or shine.

13. Easter Egg Hunt
Castlecomer Discover Park, Kilkenny | 18 & 19 April, 10am - 4pm

Celebrate the arrival of spring with an exciting family day out at Castlecomer Discovery Park. This Easter, little adventurers can enjoy a woodland egg hunt, funfair rides and plenty of festive fun across the park.

Watch Professor Omelette and his assistant Eggbert perform eggciting eggsperiments before meeting the Easter Bunny for a photo. Hop aboard the Safari Train to see lambs and calves up close or burrow through the mineshaft tunnels to count how many rabbits are hiding inside.

Test your aim at Crack an Egg in the Coop, build giant domino runs with Humpty Dumpty and put your adventure skills to the test on the Easter Quest. Little artists can create their own Easter masterpiece with Bunny Brushstrokes, while energetic visitors can take on the Eggsercise Gym with Bouncy and Stretchy. Find the dragon eggs hidden in the laurel maze, race to collect three different coloured eggs from the haystacks and hook a duck before sending it sliding back into the pond. 15. Easter Egg Hunt & The Gruffalo Trail

Graune Pet Farm is celebrating Easter in style this year with the official opening of its brand-new Gruffalo Trail. Families are invited to step into the world of the Gruffalo and friends as part of a magical spring adventure across the farm. Over the Easter weekend—from Saturday 19 to Monday 21 April—the Easter Bunny will be making special appearances for meet and greets and little ones can join the Easter Egg Hunt each day at 2.30pm.
