Dinner and a show

Time spent together is often the greatest gift so why not plan a night on the town for you and your mammy? Whether she's into Agatha Christie murder mysteries, tongue-in-cheek musicals, or theatrical classics, there are plenty of great shows coming to Dublin in 2025. If you want to stay closer to home, check out your local theatre for upcoming productions and book a table at her favourite restaurant while you're at it.

Afternoon tea

A classic for a reason. Hotels around the country will be polishing their fine china for the women who enjoy mini sandwiches, delicate pastries, fresh scones, and a delicious cup of tea - or splash of champagne. Conrad Dublin, Mount Juliet Estate, and Lough Eske Castle are just some of the hotels offering up package's this Mother's Day.

Dr Jack Skincare

Perfect for sun-damaged or lovingly worn skin, the Yellow Peel from UK skincare brand Dr David Jack is a powerhouse of an at-home treatment. This sunflower-hued gel is made with vitamin C to reduce pigmentation, and both retinal and bakuchiol (a more gentle plant-based antioxidant that's often used instead of retinol), and works like a deep clean on your skin. It is thick in consistency and sets almost like a sheet mask once on, and is best applied with the mini brush that comes with the jar.

Since it’s quite powerful, one mask a week is plenty, and skin is left visibly refreshed afterwards. At £149 (roughly €170) it’s definitely not cheap, but the quality ingredients are worth the expense.
