To mark national Irish Sign Language Day (December 14), we're sharing some festive phrases to learn in ISL this Christmas.
Irish TikToker Steve White (@kerrycoda) is a hearing person who became an ISL user as a CODA (Child of Deaf Adults). In fact, the Tralee native says he comes from three generations of Deaf family members, including his parents, his two siblings, as well as aunts, uncles and grandparents.
The 33-year-old says that ISL is his first language, and he was inspired to start his account as a way of introducing people to ISL through handy phrases and introductory challenges.
In the below video, he shares some Christmas greetings and festive phrases that can be learned ahead of December 25.
