Sarah Jessica Parker has shone a light on Irish food and fashion, sharing some highlights from a recent trip to Ireland on her Instagram account.

The Sex and the City star, who lives with her husband Matthew Broderick and their children in New York City, has had a holiday home in the north of Ireland for years.

It appears the screen star has just returned from another trip as she shared an Instagram post filled with nods to Ireland, including Irish food and one Irish fashion brand.

Sharing a round up of snaps from her trip, the actress - who is currently dazzling fans in the second series of SATC spin-off And Just Like That..., wrote that the images "never quite capture it", adding that "there is always more".

Among her photos was one of "the perfect" Irish York cabbage and a chunk of Irish cheddar, alongside bacon, pickles and other glimpses into SJP's fridge.

In the caption, she referrenced buttering "new spuds" and drinking tea, making us all crave an evening curled up in front of a country fire.

It's also not the first time Parker has written an Instagram ode to Irish food: last year she charmed followers with her appreciation of Irish butter on peas.

Parker posted a series of stunning shots of the Donegal landscape, from the traditional stone walls that lace up and down the country, to green fields overlooking the shimmering ocean. She included a photo of a local Donegal business, Doherty's Fishing Tackle in Donegal.

Buttery spuds and supermarket cabbage or not, this is still SJP - an eternally influential fashion icon - and this wouldn't be a truly representative post if it didn't include something chic and envy-inducing.

With that in mind, Parker featured not only a handbag from her own collection of accessories, but a stunning pink tweed blazer with a champagne-coloured lining by Magee 1866, a fifth generation Irish family business based in Donegal with over 150 years' experience in designing, weaving and tailoring.

Their designs have been worn by the Irish stars like Anna Daly and are notable for their fresh take on traditional Irish tweed in vibrant, contemporary colours.

It comes after designs by Irish designer Paula Rowan featured in an episode of And Just Like That..., with wardrobe stylist Danny Santiago including two pairs of gloves in the winter-themed episode.
