Gerry Godley's micro-bakery serves up sourdough, brioche and pastries from his Dublin 8 home. His bakes can be pre-ordered on Instagram via his cleverly named account, @BreadmanWalking.
Chefing was Godley's first career choice as a young man, but a love of music diverted him to a life in music where he played saxophone in jazz ensembles. Gerry is also a former RTÉ lyric fm presenter where he hosted Reels to Ragas and Jazz Alley in the 2000s.
From there, he became the Principal & Managing Director of the Leeds Conservatoire up until the pandemic struck. During lockdown, he reassessed his working life and discovered that his love of food still remained. In 2022, Breadman Walking was born.
