Home of the Year has returned to our screens for its eighth series with a brand new judge and some impressive interior design.

Looking for individuality, functionality and clever design, judges Hugh Wallace, Amanda Bone, and Sara Cosgrove will each score the homes out of 10 and the home with the highest combined score in each programme will go through to the final in April, where the winner will be crowned.

Over the coming weeks, a total of 21 homes across Ireland will compete for the prestigious title of 'Home of the Year' in 2022.

Emma Edmonds, Wicklow

Emma Edmonds, an interior designer and colour consultant, lives in her country cottage in Co. Wicklow along with her Maltese terrier, Maxi.

When Emma bought the property it was in good condition but needed updating, so she ripped out the interiors, replacing them with her own fun no rules style.

Emma love antiques and mixing new with old. She uses texture and colour in each room and loves that her home is always evolving with her.

Home of the Year airs every Tuesday on RTÉ One at 8:30pm.
