What does it mean to be Irish? An ambitious new show is aiming to answer just that.
Dropping just before St. Patrick's Day, Our Land is a three-part series on RTÉ Player that explores the celebrations, struggles and collective future of identity in Ireland, as told through a vibrant array of community voices.

Following on from This Land, Zithelo Bobby Mthombeni's documentary about Ireland's relationship with race, identity and immigration, Our Land delves into the rich and often complex strands of Irishness, examining how immigration shapes our understanding of identity and home.
Featuring an impressive list of contributors, including journalist Sorcha Pollak, rapper JyellowL, performer Róisín El Cherif, Hughie Maughan and Amanda Adé, it captures Ireland in 2022 as a shifting and dynamic place with questions to be answered still.
Episode one covers immigration and identity, exploring the beautiful spectrum of colour in the country that goes far beyond green, white and orange. This episode explores shifts in perceptions of Irish identity through the eyes of artists, activists and cultural movers.

Episode two discusses challenges and conflict, examining our relationship with conflict in our living memory. It asks questions like, when it's minorities who are marginalised, who listens? From Traveller rights to Black Lives Matter and much of the discrimination in between, this episode delves into our collective understanding of conflicts that exist today in Ireland.
Finally, episode three tackles how we empower the future, looking for ways to overcome the challenges we've faced to make a brighter future.
