Having a glamorous mansion might not be on the cards for all of us, but getting a celebrity-worthy look isn't impossible, and with RTÉ's newest show, you can follow along as one celebrated interior designer gives six homes a makeover.
In Designed for Life, renowned international interior designer Arlene McIntyre takes on six design projects from a range of backgrounds and budgets, from a Victorian apartment to a urban city centre flat, a riverside property to a classic redbrick home and more.
Using her expertise to navigate a broad mix of homes, personalities and design challenges, McIntyre takes the needs and wants of her clients and turns them into dream spaces, in often very limited time.
Each episode follows along with the transformation of one property, as McIntyre meets the clients, hears their aspirations and their budget. The series follow the interior design process of creating bespoke solutions for each of the homeowners.
In our first episode, viewers saw the Smyth family in Clontarf call on Arlene McIntyre to transform their unused 'dump room' into a functional and stylish home office and their living room with its acorn patterned wallpaper into a relaxing adult space. Arlene uses creative solutions to transform the rooms into luxurious, stylish and useable spaces.
