Last year Boni Odoemene, Leon Diop and Femi Bankole of The Black and Irish Instagram page joined forces with Amanda Ade to create The Black and Irish Podcast on RTÉ. Together, the four hosts held conversations with inspiring individuals, exploring culture and identity, along with the struggles and successes of the black Irish community.

Now in it's second season, the four are exploring the finer details of growing up as black or mixed raced in Ireland; discussing the difficulty of balancing duel identities, and the recipes, music and culture that their families have kept alive at home.

In today's episode, Boni's Dad, Albert Odoemene, and Amanda’s 'Aunty', Tonye Benson Olatunde, join the podcast as they chat about the challenges of bringing up a family in Ireland, raising teenagers in a traditional African home and balancing African and Irish culture.
