If we're all craving something, it's the summer. The sunny weather has started at last, and while it might not be the warmest right now, it's getting us in the mood for sunbathing, sundresses and long days outdoors.

For Jen, though, it's getting her in the mood for something else, as she chatted to Lottie Ryan on the Jennifer Zamparelli Show about the joy of sunbathing topless before catching up on Lottie's latest pregnancy cravings.

Asking whether the radio presenter would ever sunbathe topless if the right weather came around, she shared that the first time she did it was on her honeymoon, adding it made her feel "free and liberated".

"Until I stood up to shake my towel and who was standing in front of me? The accountant from my work."

Lottie shared her own topless sunbathing story, adding that "I've done it in the past, but I did it on a holiday with mates. You could see people that you kind of half-know, who you don't seeing your boobs".

It's a topic close to Jen's heart at the moment as she's been called a "boob shamer" for suggesting those who dare to bear cover up at certain points.

"I'm being called a 'boob shamer' because I said, it's grand to be sunbathing with your boobs out, go for it, I've done it myself, but when you go to get a coffee or an ice cream, maybe cover up a little bit", she said. "You wouldn't go to the canteen in work with your boobs out, would you?"

"I admire people who can because I wish I had the guts to do it", Lottie replied, "but I would have no problem showing my boobs to my close friends and having a sunbathe with them."

Never mind the courage of your convictions it might take to go topless, Lottie stresses that it's the "logistics" of it that might cause problems. "If it was me pre-pregnancy [that's okay], but if it was me at the moment they'd just be hitting off everything. That's a hazard!"

Pregnancy was also up for discussion as Lottie chatted about Ellie Goulding and how she recently shared her new pregnancy cravings: Weetabix and sardines.

"Thankfully, it's not sardines on Weetabix", she added, "but she says that she never had any interest in them beforehand. This is just something that's come on with pregnancy.

"She said that before she got pregnant she was a big advocate of fitness and health. She was one of those Instagrammers who would take pictures of her meals and post about 'how lovely my salad is', and she said, 'I know I was very smug about how healthy I used to be but to be honest with you all I eat these days is McDonalds, Weetabix and sardines."

What about Lottie's cravings, Jen wondered? "I have had weird cravings", she said, but added: "See, what's weird? Is weird just something you wouldn't eat before?"

"I have weird food habits in general. I'm big into the fizzy jellies now, I constantly want sugar. Also noodles from my local Chinese, I want to order just the noodles."

While Jen says she didn't have any unusual cravings, she's heard of them alright, most recently from writer Sophie White when she was a guest on Jen's show.

"She was talking about her mad cravings. She had the weirdest one of all time, I've never heard of this before, it was a real thing. She was Googling, looking at where she could get some. She craved blood. If you gave her a fillet steak rare, it wasn't rare enough, it wasn't bloody."

It turns out this is a legitimate craving pregnant women can have, as White researched it, but you can experience aversions as much as cravings, as Lottie noted.

"I've spoken to a lot of people who more commonly have aversions, so certain things make them feel sick as opposed to craving something. For me, I was a big fish and meat eater and I haven't touched fish and meat in six months. The smell of it makes me want to vomit everywhere, which is awful because I'm a big foodie and I love my meat but I haven't been able to go near it."
