We're spending a lot more time tucked up at home these days so we're always on the hunt for a new boxset to binge.

But with lockdown set to stretch on a little longer, you may be starting to worry about running out of things to watch.

Luckily, Disney+ has launched Star, a brand new content offering that's not just for the kids.

Star on Disney+ launches today with a ton of movies, TV shows and bingeworthy boxsets. Viewers will be thrilled to re-discover classics like Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, 24 and Ugly Betty, alongside new originals like Solar Opposites, Big Sky and the sweet and quirky Love, Victor (see trailer below).

Movie fans are also in for a treat with the likes of Pretty Woman, Deadpool 2, and Die Hard 2 all set to light up our screens.

This major release will add a huge number of new titles to the platform, combining the best of Disney's kids' offering, with everything us grown-ups have been wishing for.

And what’s more, the platform have added a new parental controls feature, meaning the younger members of the household won’t have access to any shows or movies with a more mature feel.

Parents can now add a PIN to lock profiles with access to the grown-up content, and set limits on other profiles around which titles can be viewed.

Boxsets on Star

So while the kids are singing along to Moana in the sitting room, you can get stuck into Lost in the kitchen without a worry.

That means there’s only one thing left to do -- stock the fridge, prepare the popcorn and cancel all scheduled Zoom calls.

Here’s five boxsets we can’t wait to binge on Star on Disney+...

Desperate Housewives

Desperate Housewives

The ladies of Wisteria Lane are back. Immerse yourself in suburban heaven (or hell) as the forbidden romances, deadly secrets and heinous crimes come spilling out of this seemingly perfect neighbourhood.

There’s a whopping eight seasons of Desperate Housewives to get through, each funnier and more entertaining than the last. Stick this on the watchlist and keep your fingers crossed for a re-boot.

Big Sky

From visionary storyteller David E. Kelley (Big Little Lies, The Undoing), you won't want to miss this Disney+ original series.

The murder mystery follows detective Cody Hoyt (Ryan Phillipe) and his partner as they hunt down a serial killer in Montana. Based on the novel, The Highway, you’ll have trouble turning this one off once you press play.

Nothing quite gets your pulse going like Kiefer Sutherland racing the clock to take down some of the world’s deadliest terrorists and saving the day with merely seconds to spare. With each episode covering a 24-hour period, this action-adventure series is the perfect binge-watch.

If this whets your appetite, spin-off shows Live Another Day and Legacy can also be found on the platform.

When it comes to feel-good, laugh-out-loud viewing, Scrubs is up there with the very best of them. J.D., Turk, Elliot and Dr. Cox dominated our screens and won a place in our hearts during the early 2000s as they traipsed the wards of Sacred Heart Hospital.

Full of humour, heartbreak and medical emergency, Star on Disney+ offers up nine seasons with this lovable crew. But be warned, the theme tune is likely to get stuck in your head!

It's the show that made anthropology cool. Bones sees FBI agent Seeley Booth team up with forensics expert Dr. Temperance 'Bones’ Brennan as they solve mysteries by examining the remains of victims. While it might sound a bit heavy, Bones is actually a comedy-drama, with a little bit of romance thrown in.

It was so popular in its hey-day, it ran for an incredible 12 seasons. Block your calendar, you’re going to need to set aside time for this one.

Get ready for a whole new world of entertainment with Star on Disney+, launching on February 23rd. Monthly subscription fee of €8.99 per month, or €89.90 annually. For more information head to www.disneyplus.com.
