RTÉ has released a brand new RTÉ Player series called Get My Sh!t Together. Presented by radio presenters Carl Mullan and Pamela Joyce, this three-part feelgood series gives viewers some tips on how to kick 2021 off the right way.
With episodes entitled Digital Detox, Get me a Routine, and #BeKind, the series offers a different take on the usual 'new year, new me' approach, replacing big resolutions with small acts of kindness - whether that means being kind to yourself or those around you.
Most importantly, these two messers make sure they have a good laugh while ticking off their challenges.
As two self-confessed phone addicts working in media, Pamela and Carl both agree that they need to kick their social media habits for 2021. To do this, they decide to ditch their phones for 24 hours and take on the world without WhatsApp, Instagram, Twitter or even Maps by their side.
To fill their phone-free day, the two presenters hit the road to try out some tech-free pastimes such as painting on the beach, yoga, and digging into a tasty toastie - all without taking a single photo for the 'gram.
To encourage them to stay on track, the two presenters are told just how many hours they are spending online. While Pamela spent 3 hours and 43 minutes on her phone one Thursday, Carl spent a whopping 7 hours and 42 minutes on his.
Will those figures be enough to scare these two into dropping their screen times? Tune into GMST on RTÉ Player to find out.
