Last week, new public health measures were announced that would see Ireland gradually move out of lockdown over the coming weeks.

From May 10, people can travel freely around the country. From June 2, hotels can reopen with services restricted to overnight guests and residents. And from June 7, restaurants and bars can resume outdoor services with groups limited to 6 people.

With this in mind, we wanted to highlight just some of the capital's eateries that are providing take-away, delivery, and outdoor dining.

Wallace's Asti, Dublin 1
Conveniently located in Drumcondra, just off the North Circular Road near Croke Park, this Sardinian-inspired restaurant has pizza, pasta, and a spacious outdoor terrace on offer. Take away and delivery options are also available. For more info, visit their website.

The Church, Dublin 1
Built at the beginning of the 18th century, this former church has over 320 years of history to its name. The venue has a number of event spaces but the award winning all-weather garden is bound to be popular this Summer. Seating over 300 people, the outdoor area serves a wide range of food and drinks. Woolen Mills, Dublin 1
Centrally located in Dublin's city centre, this historical eatery has both outdoor street seating as well as an incredible rooftop terrace looking onto a beautiful cityscape. The restaurant's outdoor options will be available soon and booking ahead will be essential.

Sfuso Gastronomia Italiana, Dublin 1

Wigwam, Dublin 1

This Dublin hot spot has long been renowned for its tasty tacos and zingy margaritas. During lockdown, the team have been providing 777 At Home, a veritable selection box of their greatest hits, for takeout and collection from Thursday to Sunday. Now it has been revealed that the George's St venue will have outdoor dining available at Afuera, their new al fresco dining area. If you need another people-watching spot to sit at while you munch on lunch, look no further than L'Gueleton on Fade Street. The French bistro will be open for walk-ins but booking is advisable. Located on Deerpark Rd in Mount Merrion, Michael's is hands down one of Dublin's finest fish restaurants. Owner and Chef Gaz Smith offers up a feast of shellfish, pasta, arancini, and steak - with the menu daily.
