How Clean Is Your House? presenter Aggie MacKenzie spoke with Brenda Donohue - filling in for Ray D'Arcy on RTÉ Radio 1 - about teaching yoga online in lockdown, her new relationship, and her top cleaning tips.
"I got to the age of 50 and thought 'Oh my goodness, I must turn to some exercise. What do old women do? They do yoga'," Aggie told a concerned Brenda, who insisted that 50 was far from old!
"I'm really glad that I discovered it when I did," she continued. "I've been doing it fifteen years now and I haven't been as fit and flexible and strong as I am now. I'm so grateful that I found it," she said.
Living with her new boyfriend in North London, MacKenzie says that lockdown has felt like a "little bubble" that has allowed her to slow down her pace of life. With the world on pause, and with a qualification in teaching yoga behind her, the TV presenter decided to try her hand at teaching classes online.

"I like learning but I also love teaching as well. I really like at the end of the session people say 'that was lovely' or 'that was a bit difficult'. It's a lovely thing to share, particularly on Zoom when I don't know who is going to jump in. I quite like that," she said.
"I have some subscribers who pay not very much a month and they can come onto classes every single day. But then I said that if, through the coronavirus, you're not able to work at the moment, then please come and it won't cost anything."
The 64-year-old started a new relationship last October and was enjoying spending time with her new beau once or twice a week. Once lockdown came about though, the two had a big decision to make.
"This thing came along and we kind of looked at each other and said, well, it's either not seeing each other at all or seeing an awful lot of each other. We both knew what we wanted to do and it's been really nice actually. It fast-forwarded the relationship quite a lot but I think we're both happy about that."

Turning to cleaning queries, the How Clean Is Your House? presenter answered listeners' questions in a quickfire round with Brenda.
How can we get rid of deodorant stains on clothes?
Aggie suggests soaking the area in vinegar and warm water solutions (50:50) or, alternatively, dissolving an aspirin in a pint of water and soak the stain in it overnight. Wash as usual in the washing machine after.
How can we get remove tea stains from a rug?
You need a steam cleaner to provide heat and moisture to lift the stain, says Aggie. Rent a steamer or get it professionally done.
How can we make our BBQs sparkle?
According to Aggie, if you scrunch up some tinfoil and rub it across the BBQ, that will get rid of the gunk.
