With the country adapting to a new socially-distanced way of life, establishing and maintaining a healthy routine has never been so important. As well as minding our physical and mental health, it's important that we fit some fun into our days as the country slowly phases out of lockdown.

1. Get creative for Cruinniú na nÓg
Saturday, 13th of June, marks Cruinniú na nÓg 2020 - Ireland's national day of free creative activities for children and young people under the age of 18 who are being encouraged to get online, get involved and get creative for Cruinniú.

This year, all Cruinniú events can be found online, with a selection of events also featuring on various RTÉ channels and platforms including RTÉ 2, RTÉjr, RTÉjr podcasts, RTÉ Home School Hub, RTÉ.ie/Learn, and RTÉ.ie/Culture.

2. Celebrate National Men's Health Week
Cork-born comedian Andrew Ryan will be among the familiar faces giving online lunchtime talks for National Men's Health Week (June 15-21). Organised by ARC Cancer Support Centres, the funnyman's talk on 'laughter is the best medicine' will take place on Friday, June 19 at 1pm.

3. Celebrate Pride
June is usually a time for the LGBTQ+ community to express themselves and celebrate the history of Pride with a slew of parades and parties. Due to Coronavirus, however, most public events have had to be cancelled for 2020... but don't put those flags away just yet.

Dublin Pride will be hosting a virtual festival online from June 18 - 28, while Global Pride will be celebrated on June 27 - get those rainbows ready!

4. Study the sea
Dive in and discover the deep blue sea with the Marine Institute's Oceans of Learning and partners as they celebrate the world’s shared ocean and our connection to the sea in a 10-week series, sharing news and offering online interactive activities, videos and downloadable resources on a new marine topic each week.

5. Go to the movies
Cork International Film Festival has launched its new home cinema Festival experience - the CIFF Film Club - in partnership with The Gate Cinemas. To celebrate the 65th anniversary of Ireland's first and largest film festival, a specially curated series of fortnightly screenings will commence from Tuesday, 16 June.

6. Read Ulysses
I mean... if there was ever a time?

Or, if you'd rather sit back and relax, RTÉ has announced that an almost 30-hour production of James Joyce's masterpiece will be broadcast online worldwide to celebrate Bloomsday. Audiences can listen live on RTÉ Radio 1 Extra, or via podcast at www.rte.ie/ulysses.

In the run-up to this year's Bloomsday festivities, RTÉ Culture has created a permanent Ulysses section that will include 20 'explainer' programmes.

7. Go to London Fashion Week
In light of the pandemic, the British Fashion Council has decided to bring the SS21 edition of London Fashion week forward, and will now be taking place entirely online for the first time in its 46-year history.

From June 12-14, a digital-only platform, accessible to the public via the London Fashion Week website, will host exclusive content from designers and retailers, bringing together menswear and womenswear – another first. Click here for more info.
