With this in mind, we have pulled together some of the most positive, creative, helpful, interesting and entertaining activities to keep you going over the coming weeks.

1. Recreate a work of art
Inspired by the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam and an Instagram account called Between Art and Quarantine, Getty have offered up a creative challenge to those who need a little art in their socially distanced lives. Using digitized and downloadable artworks from Getty's online collection, people are creating their at-home versions of some of the world's most iconic artworks.

Share your photos online with hashtags #betweenartandquarantine and #tussenkunstenquarataine.

2. Have an online experience with Airbnb
Book and join one-of-a-kind activities from your home with some online experiences. Try something new with small groups from around the world and expand your mind as well as your skillset. You could take up dance lessons, enjoy a tarot reading, sign up to some scarf painting, meditate with a monk or learn how to create your own podcast.

7. Support your local charity shop
Now that you're spending a lot of time in your home, you've undoubtedly had the itch to clear out your closets and ditch all the items that don't 'spark joy'. However, before you throw anything in the landfill, think about your local charity shop. Once you've de-cluttered, put your donations to the side (or in the boot of your car) and have them ready to donate once the shops re-open.

8. Take part in a walking challenge
With businesses closed across the country and the need for social distancing higher than ever, going for a walk every day (where appropriate) is a great way to give yourself a physical and mental boost. If you need a little help to get into the habit, check out Get Ireland Walking's 21-day challenge.

Get out every day, join the community online and be sure to keep a record of your movements. By tracking how long or how far you walked, you'll see proof of your improvements which is a great motivation to keep going!
