Running until November 3rd featuring artists and performers from across the globe, enjoy world-class theatre, music and visual arts. This weekend's events include music from La Dame Blanche, breath-taking aerial acrobatics from La Spire and The Playboy of the Western World.
5) Gaelforce Howth
Recently featured as one of the Lonely Planet's Epic Runs of the World, you will be challenged but you will never be bored of the sweeping views of Dublin as you make your way up hills over varied terrain on this 10k challenge on Saturday.
6) Wexford Fringe
The 67th Fringe is an open-access arts festival running until 3rd November with events this weekend including The Busquitos, Wexford Model Railway Club Open Day and guided tours of The Irish National Heritage Park.
7) National Dairy Show
The fun, family, farming day out offers something for everyone and has steadily grown into Ireland's premier indoor agricultural event. The Show always offers a wide range of attractions and this year is no different, with an extended Trade Stand area with over 150 trade exhibits, marketing agricultural-based products and equipment.
8) Talking Walls Festival | Achill Island
Concluding this weekend, events include Historical Talk, Haiku Workshop, Keel Sheep Show, Le Céile Open Mic Night and a Historic Bus Tour of Achill Island. Celebrating the life and work of the award-winning Irish-American playwright, Eugene O’Neill in New Ross from 10th-14th October.
9) Ballina Fringe Festival
The 2nd Fringe Festival in Ballina Arts Centre concludes this weekend with No Crows in St Michael’s Church, Killala Bay Folk Club in Shambles Bar and Encounters, an exhibition featuring new works from award-winning international artist Mick O’Dea.
10) Alice in Wonderland | Wexford Arts Centre
From the time Alice falls down the rabbit hole to the hilarious and curious ending, everyone, even the adults, will be spellbound. A great holiday show suitable for families and particularly for children aged four to nine.
