You never know what you'll find at the National Ploughing Championships.

Somewhere between the tractors, live music, cookery demonstrations, and fashion competitions, a Love Island champion was found doling out dating advice, earlier this morning.

Ahead of a busy afternoon hosting the National Dairy Council's dating competition, Grá Island, broadcaster Marty Morrisey and Love Island star Greg O'Shea dropped by the RTÉ tent to chat with Ryan Tubridy and Brenda Donohue on RTÉ Radio 1.

Crowds of young women screamed the house down as the 24-year-old made his way through the tent but it was Brenda who got up close and personal with the rugby star to get some top dating tips.

"One big one, for me anyway, is to stay away from the online apps - Tinder, Bumble and all that - and just meet someone organically," Greg told Brenda. "It's very rare to walk up to a woman nowadays and actually strike up a conversation and ask her on a date so that's what I'd say to everyone."

"I'd be the same," Marty added. "What are you doing tonight, Brenda?"

Speaking on his first trip to the annual agricultural event, the young Limerick man said it was like "Electric Picnic times ten".

"The set up is amazing," he told Ryan. "It's massive and the amount of people around here... I'm ashamed I've never been here before. I'm here an hour and I'm having the best time."

The three men went on to discuss Greg's upcoming gig on RTÉ2fm, Marty's time on Dancing with the Stars, and they even welcomed a surprise visit from Anna Geary who popped in to say, 'Hi,' but wouldn't give away any wedding secrets. Listen back above.
