In Katie Nicholl's biography, Kate: The Future Queen, the author claims that the Queen allowed The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, to breach protocol of Britain's Royal Palace by letting her take photos in her Balmoral estate, which would otherwise be frowned upon.
In one part of the book, she writes: "Until now The Queen had met Kate only fleetingly at the wedding of Peter and Autumn Phillips but she went out of her way to make her feel welcome, giving her permission to take pictures at Balmoral."
These two photographs were taken recently in the gardens at Kensington Palace by The Duchess of Cambridge.

From the adorable photos we've recently seen on Kensington Palace's Twitter and Instagram accounts of Prince George on his birthday - taken by Kate - it's obvious that the Duchess loves photography.
In fact, on June 25th, Queen Elizabeth passed the patronage of the Royal Photographic Society to Kate, ahead of The Duchess's visit to a photography workshop run by The Royal Photographic Society and Action for Children, another of The Duchess's patronages.
Perhaps the two bonded over photography during their 'fleeting' time at the wedding of Autumn and Peter.
Balmoral is in the Scottish Highlands and it holds a special place in the Queen's heart. It is reported that she is currently there on her holidays, which usually lasts until early October.
It is thought that several family members of the royal family were invited to Balmoral, including the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their baby son Archie.
