When asked to describe the sun, primary school children have all kinds of answers: it lives in space and is made out of lava; it's like a circle (the best of all the shapes); it's 400 kilometres away from earth; if you walk on it you could get burned and, of course, it was formed in a supernova...
OK, we admit it, that last answer put us to shame.
To celebrate Weather Live, a landmark show that delves into the details of weather and our relationship to it, RTÉ asked a group of students from St. Mary's Parish Primary School to discuss Ireland's favourite topic - the weather. Watch their answers in the video above.
