Sonya Lennon may best be known for her role as a presenter on RTÉ’s Off the Rails but she has built a steady career over the past 30 years as one of Ireland's most fabulous names in fashion, working as a stylist, broadcaster, author and designer.

In 2012, Sonya and her former co-presenter Brendan Courtney founded LennonCourtney, a luxurious and wearable clothing collection hosted by Dunnes Stores.

Now the stylish entrepreneur is bringing her business know-how to the masses with her new six-part series on RTÉ One. Strictly Business follows the designer as she assists six small Irish businesses in their endeavour to make it big.

The Academy
On tonight's episode, we meet Karen and Frank Daly - a married couple with two young boys who are co-owners of The Academy, a ‘café club’ weight loss and fitness venue in Dundalk.

Karen worked in recruitment for 12 years and Frank in sales but after Karen had their second son, she decided that she wanted to lose the four stone of weight she had put on during the pregnancy – which she did. In eight months.

The experience lit a fire in Karen and inspired her to take a Master’s Degree in Weight Loss and Management. Soon after, the couple opened their business and while Karen is the star of the show, Frank is the financial head.

Now that the couple are planning to franchise, Sonya is stepping in to introduce them to someone with the know-how - Brian Lee, co-owner of the highly successful healthy eating chain Chopped.

Tune in to Strictly Business on RTÉ One every Wednesday at 6:30pm.
