The Christmas RTÉ Guide is a festive staple in many households and this year's cover has brought things back to basics with this charming cover.
In previous years, the RTÉ Guide have used Irish personalities and RTÉ presenters for inspiration.
Remember last year's Charles Dickens theme? That cover featured Ryan Tubridy, Graham Norton, Ray D'arcy, Miriam O'Callaghan, Gay Byrne, Sinead Kennedy, Marty Morrissey, Bridget & Eamon (Jennifer Zamparelli and Bernard O'Shea), and many more. Have a look below.
This year, however, the team decided to go with a cover "full of magic and sparkle", beautifully illustrated by Irish artist Marie-Louise Fitzpatrick.
"When the story begins, we meet a little girl named Hannah, her little brother Boo, her mum and dad and of course, the family dog, Bailey. They’re very excited about it being Christmas Eve, but there is one problem, they cannot sleep. And they know that Santa won’t visit if they are awake," Marie told the RTÉ Guide.
We wonder if this cover will follow the 2016 award-winner which won the 'Cover of the Year' at the Irish Magazine Awards. The Editor, Catherine Lee was delighted to accept the honour at Dublin City Hall.
