Starting his broadcasting career aged just 12 years old, when he reviewed books for 2fm's Poparama, Ryan Tubridy is a veteran interviewer. And one night of the year, he becomes The Toy Man, charmer of hearts, wearer of dodgy jumpers and singer of carols as he hosts The Late Late Toy Show. Get a sneak peek below!
As he gears up for his tenth stint as host of the most magical night of the year, he's grilled by 10-year-old Joey Walsh from Lusk, Co Dublin who was picked as winner of the ‘Talk To Tubs’ competition from a Santa sack-load of applications.
He shares everything from his favourite Toy Show guest to which figures from history he'd like to have dinner with. The one thing he's not sharing, though, is the Toy Show theme, though he offers this hot take on Brussels sprouts: "They’re like fun-size cabbages…that haven’t been cooked properly…and have just completed a marathon…in Abu Dhabi".
