The RTÉ Guide's Donal O'Donoghue goes behind the scenes with Marty and Sinead to get a real flavour of the popular Saturday evening TV show, Winning Streak. Get a sneak peek below.
In Marty and Sinead’s dressing-room the chat is a giddy whirl, bouncing from the comic to the less so, from men wearing spanx to Brett Kavanaugh’s appointment to the US Supreme Court.
"When we get interviewed together Marty is always asked about his career, but they have no interest in asking
me about my TV career even though I’ve been doing it over 15 years," says Sinead.
"It’s like, ‘let’s talk to Sinead about clothes, babies and her husband.’ And I’m standing next to Marty thinking, ‘we do the same job on Winning Streak, so really?’ We’re being kept in a box that most women don’t want to be in which is ‘the glamorous bit of skirt’."
Marty lightens proceedings. "Can I tell you about my clothes, my babies and my ever-changing shape?" he asks.
