Recent changes made to some Aptamil baby formula products are causing unpleasant reactions in lots of babies. Joe Duffy spoke to two parents on Liveline on RTÉ Radio 1, whose babies are suffering the consequences of the changed milk formula.

Excessive wind, loud burping, arching back and squealing after bottle feed and increased spewing are some of the side effects listed by Emma Mulligan, that her baby is experiencing following, what Danone have said is a change in manufacturing of the milk formula she uses for her baby.
Lorna McArdle who also contacted Joe Duffy on Liveline today claims that despite the fact that there wasn't any notice of changes to the ingredients on the box, her baby is suffering from "funny stomach noises" and "severe diarrhoea."
Her child who normal sleeps soundly through the night has awoken eight or nine times screaming in pain since Aptamil changed the packaging and manufacturing of their product.

These are not isolated cases as the number of complaints to the companies on social media from customers across Ireland and the UK continually increase every day.
Danone's mission is "to bring health through food to as many people as possible, in a sustainable way," are currently investigating the many complaints they have received through retailers and individual customers.
Customers have also noted the reduced capacity of the new boxes despite no decrease in price. Danone have justified this by saying that "they have invested in research and equipment whilst also facing additional ingredient costs in developing the formula."
Rather than increase the price the decision was taken to change the size of the product.
