Following a short week in work, there is nothing better than planning another weekend of fun and adventure, especially if the warm weather continues.

This week, we are again spoilt for choice with organisers planning some fantastic events and activities all over Ireland. Here are just a selection of our favourites.

1) Carnival of Culture | Wells House
Irish communities are steeped in heritage and full to the brim with talent so join Wells House on Sunday from 1pm, as they celebrate their community with a fun-filled day of local acts, theatre, face painting, basket making, urban dance, Irish dance, seal rescue, hurl makers, trad hub, story-telling, children’s disco and clowning around for all the family!

2)  Celebrate Our Shore | SEA LIFE, Bray
This week is Clean Coasts Week and you can join SEA LIFE as they ‘Celebrate our Shore’ on Bray Beach on Saturday from 11am - 1pm.

There will be lots of family friendly, fun activities including marine touch pool, treasure hunt, marine litter games & art!

3)  Salmon & Whiskey Festival
The Bushmills Salmon & Whiskey Festival is a two-day event celebrating food and drink producers from the Causeway Coast & Glens and extending right across Northern Ireland with tastings, workshops, food demos, live music, dance troupes, artisan stalls, street performers.

Irish Feast will be running a special Bushmills Food Tour with samples from the festival. 

4)  World Oceans Day at Galway Atlantaquaria
Galway Atlantaquaria is celebrating World Oceans Day with a family fun day on Sunday. The fun runs from noon until 5pm with exhibitions, presentations, experiments, workshops, games and activities.

5)  Westport Folk & Bluegrass Festival
The 12th annual festival features acts from America, the UK, Europe, and Ireland with a programme bursting with gigs, workshops, and craft showcases by local instrument makers

6)  Carlow Arts Festival
One of the first big festival of the summer with a line-up with music, theatre, visual art, dance, circus, as well as plenty of family event and delicious food and drink.

7)  Funderland Limerick
Last week Funderland ran a free special needs event for local schools, centres and families with over 1,500 people able to enjoy all the fun of the fair thanks to the staff who volunteered their time. You too can join in the fun before this year's event finishes on Sunday. 

8)  Cork Harbour Festival
This year's Cork Harbour Festival concludes this weekend with events including Surf Lessons, Sunset Coasteering on Inch Beach on Friday evening, crab fishing on the Promenade on Saturday and family orienteering in Marlogue Wood on Sunday and lots more.

9)  Castlerock Clydesdale Show Funday
The annual Clydesdale horse show in aid of Marie Curie is a fun day out for all the family at the seaside.

The main event of the day will be the horse show followed by a parade of the Clydesdales through Castlerock. At the playing fields there will be craft stalls, a BBQ and loads of fun activiites including a bouncy castle and penalty kick competition.

10)  Carrick Carnival
The Carrick Carnival runs until Sunday with events this weekend including A Taste of Carrick on the Quay on Friday evening, Air Stunt Show, vintage car display a Kids Fun Day in the People's Park on Saturday and Sunday and lots more.

11)  Danny Boy Jazz Blues Family Fun Day
The Danny Boy Jazz & Blues Festival have teamed up with Carrowmena for a Family Fun Day on Sunday. There will be lots of different activities on offer, at reduced prices, for the whole family along with live music from the Guinness Jazz Band!

12)  Dublin Kite Festival
With lively music, exciting games, kite making workshops, a kite flying competition and buckets of enthusiasm you’re sure to have a great day at Dublin Kite Festival at North Bull Island in Clontarf from 11am on Sunday.

13) Armagh County Agricultural Show
The Armagh County Agricultural Show and Country Festival will be held on Saturday in the beautiful surroundings of Gosford Forest Park with Livestock Classes, Equestrian Events, Home Industries, Food Village, Vintage Displays, Trade Stands and more.

Three Things to do next week:

1) Cork Midsummer Festival
Cork's largest annual multi-disciplinary arts festival runs from 15-24 June and features 56 events including theatre, off-site performances, contemporary and popular music, participatory projects, free events, a family programme, dance, debate, ideas, and visual art.

2) The Irish Maritime Festival
Ireland’s largest annual Maritime Festival celebrates the maritime history and heritage alongside brilliant musical performers, delicious food and lots of family friendly fun in Drogheda next weekend.

3) Bloomsday
Bloomsday celebrates Thursday, 16 June 1904, the day depicted in James Joyce’s novel Ulysses. The Bloomsday Festival is now a week-long event from 11th to 16th featuring guided tours, music, theatre, workshops, readings and lots of straw boater hats.
