This weekend sees the return of WellFest, the biggest wellness festival in Ireland, which attracts such heavy hitters as The Body Coach aka Joe Wicks and Davina McCall to headline along with a vast array of experts in fitness (think yoga, Pilates, spinning) nutrition and wellness.
This year's event sees the larger venue of the beautiful Kilmainham Hospital play host to 12 stages bursting with speakers, classes and panel sessions throughout the day.
Family and Pregnancy
There’s something now for everyone in the family with the inclusion of WellKids this year and they are honing in on pregnancy and postnatal care with WellMum.
Dr Vicky O’Dwyer of The Coombe will no doubt have great insights for the WellMum stage. And MumTalks never fail to deliver on inspiration.
With WellFood, you can choose to get-your-glow with Madeline Shaw, nutritional therapist and yoga instructor. Or find out what The Food Medic, Dr. Hazel Wallace has to share being a GP, personal trainer with a keen interest in nutrition and lifestyle medicine.
The hugely successful Deliciously Ella will be there to talk about making eating plant-based food easy.
With an abundance of classes of different forms of exercise you can make your choice of what to do based on your mood. Get your 80’s groove on with 3XB at their 80’s HIIT Workout. Or join a spinning class as they run all day, both days.
Embrace pilates and chill out with some yoga. The choice of ways to move your body is endless, and there’s certainly something there for every level of fitness!
We're excited for the first #WellFit stage with @AuraLeisureIrl at #WellFest2018 in association with @AskKBCIreland 🙌🏼 On Saturday, it all kicks off with @MaeveMadden and then Aura's Ruth Kelly's Booty Camp! But it’s not all about leggings and lycra. We increasingly are made aware of the importance of mental health and the WellMind stage has some incredible speakers covering topics around emotional flow, mental health and some serious inspirational speakers to send you away with a positive pep to your step.
It is going to be hard to choose what to see, do, hear and eat with the bursting schedule the WellFest gang have in store.Go check out the full line up at www.wellfest.ie.
Watch this space from next Monday May 14 for updates on the big event…and please cross your fingers that the sun Gods shine down on us this weekend!
