RTÉ.ie/lifestyle organised a live event with an inspirational panel of women to celebrate International Women's Day. Check out our gallery of photos - taken by the talented Leah Carroll - in our gallery above.

RTÉ LifeStyle's Taragh Loughrey-Grant was joined by Margaret Martin, (Director, Women’s Aid), Siobhan Murray, (Psychotherapist) and special guest Katherine Lynch (Comedian & Actress) for the live recording.

The fascinating two-hour event was held in the beautiful Little Museum of Dublin in Stephen's Green to celebrate #IWD 2018.

The audience were busy posting on social throughout the evening about the event and here are some of the best posts here and Christina Sherlock from Women's Aid live-tweeted the night for the @Ireland account. RTÉ International Women's Day event: The best tweets.

Radio Broadcast of the event
The event was recorded for a special programme which will be broadcast on RTÉ Radio 1 Extra in an hour long special on Saturday March 10 at 1.30pm.

A 30-minute edited highlights package will be broadcast on RTÉ Radio 1 on Easter Monday, April 2, 2018.

Guests were welcomed into the gorgeous venue - which was filled with fashion for their latest exhibition celebrating Ireland's fashion pioneers - by the lovely Kathryn McCance.

After picking up a bottle of water or glass of wine, courtesy of the generous O'Brien's Wine in Donnybrook, guests sat down to a fascinating night filled with insightful data, helpful takeaways and plenty of giggles thanks to our incredible panel.

LifeStyle's Digital Content Creator, Sínann Fetherston, pictured above was busy capturing details of the event for social and online to share with one and all.

Our mighty producer Reg Looby made sure that some guests went home with an extra treat as she hosted a surprise raffle which saw four ladies go home with tickets to concerts in the 3 Arena.
