First, we meet twenty-five-year-old Shane Day from Swords in Co. Dublin, who is back living with his mum and older sister for almost a year. Having lived out of home for a few years, Shane's return has caused some issues with his mammy's new found routine.
Brendan helps Shane explore his real options when it comes to trying to put a plan in place to live independently again, including looking at the Government financial assistance in the form of Housing Assistance Payment (HAP).
However, the real learning curve comes from financial planner Eoin who tells Shane some hard truths.
In the last five years, the young father's smoking habit has set him back approximately €26,000!
That means that Shane has worked for eighteen months in the last five years purely to pay for cigarettes.

Next, we meet 26-year old Sandii Hyland from Tallaght in Dublin. A talented singer, Sandii has been trying to carve out a career for herself in the difficult world of professional singing over the past few years.
Sandii’s moved back home to live with her mum and brother a year ago to try and save as much as she can towards a mortgage deposit.
However, she’s feeling totally overwhelmed in how to go about achieving her goal. Will she be able to own her own home while remaining self-employed?
With the help of financial planner Eoin McGee, Sandii starts realising that she needs to put structure to her life and her business of singing if she is ever going to approach a bank or a broker for a mortgage.
