Be honest, when is the last time you gave your home a 'spring clean'? Have you ever got around to cleaning out the 'odd bits' drawer in the kitchen?
Is your wardrobe packed full of clothes from the early 80's that you never wear but refuse to let go?
Well, you're not alone. We Irish love to fill each and every room in our home with pictures, candles, pillows, old throws, knick-knacks and even a few novelty key chains that we picked up on holidays in '06.
Do you feel like you're starting to sink under all those memories?
Architect and designer Róisín Murphy is here to help. Every week on RTÉ One, Rósín and her team bring order to the most chaotic and cluttered homes in Ireland.
On this week's episode, the Desperate Houses crew meet Wendy, Daniel and their two kids Jun-Li and Mae-Li in their small two-bed house in Portlaoise, Co. Laois.
Well, we say house. In reality, the property has become a kind of storage facility ever since Wendy moved the contents of her former hair salon into the kitchen. Now, the kids share a bedroom with their parent’s clothes while their ensuite bathroom has been filled with boxes, buggies and ladders!
Róisín hatches an ambitious plan to reclaim the ensuite and turn a two-bed house into a three-bed home.

Builder Peter and his crew have their work cut out creating a ‘ninja room’ for Jun-Li complete with fireman’s pole and gym rings. Next door, there’s a princess room with a secret play area to construct. Brilliant - we can't wait to see the end result.
Can this all really be done in just three days? Watch Desperate Houses on RTÉ Player now.
