Despite recently leaving TodayFM after fifteen years of service, Mairéad Ronan has no intention of slowing down.
"It was a tough decision in the beginning but I'm okay with it now," she says of the decision. "There were a lot of tears" she adds.
Mairéad is set to return to host Ireland's Fittest Family again this year as well as co-hosting a travel show Getaways with Irish rugby legend Tommy Bowe.
"I'm going to be on holidays with Tommy Bowe! How good is that?" she joked.

Mairead who has recently released her own range of hairbrushes, Faro, said that she would be looking to social media for ideas on marketing methods.
"You're looking at the medium of social media and that's where everyone seems to go to now", she said. "Everybody's on it; on the bus, on the loo people are scrolling through so I'm here to check out what bloggers are doing," she said.

On top of an extremely busy professional life, Maireád is kept busy at home, especially by her youngest child, eight-month-old Eliza.

"She is fantastic and hilarious but doesn't need a lot of sleep," said an exhausted Maireád.
"I think she is going to be a very successful entrepreneur, you know these people that survive on four hours sleep!" she joked.
It seems that the future is bright, if extremely busy, for Maireád Ronan!
