An American beauty vlogger is videoing her ongoing battle with stage 3 cancer to give viewers an insight into living with a serious illness.
Courtney Elizabeth Warner, a 26-year-old Michigan-based teacher, has charted her battle with a brain tumour since she first announced it in a video back in May of this year.
"I wanted to show you guys how it was for me, all the way from the beginning all the way to the end", she explains in one of her videos.
Warner recently released footage of her in a hospital bed as surgeons operated on her brain, offering her 137,367 followers an insight into what surgery is like.
Rather than making for gruesome viewing, the surgery on her brain is not visible.
At one point during her introduction to the surgical video, Warner delights as she manages to say the word "perspective" - a word that was difficult for her prior to surgery due to the impact of the tumour.
Followers were quick to praise the blogger for her decision to video the operation, signifying a move from her usual hair and makeup content and exposing a serious medical issue.
Absolute kudos & love to @Courtelizz for this incredible video - so informative and honest https://t.co/j8vnTsTRt2

Though Warner was quick to get back to work, one of her tweets from the end of May further demonstrated the impact of major surgery on the body.
At the end of May, she tweeted "My video on my surgery it is coming it's just taking a while because I can't see. I promise I'm trying!!".

Warner is suffering from stage three brain cancer, located in the area of the brain controlling speech and as such has difficulty with speech and memory.
