Celebrating the success and importance of women, the fifth Planet Woman Academy took place at the RDS Concert Hall today.
Hosted by Norah Casey, the Planet Woman Academy event heard from some of the country’s most inspirational women, as they share personal stories of growth and success.
Speaking at the event, Tánaiste Frances Fitzgerald said that a women's role in society is so important, and should be recognised as such:
“Their perspective, their experience, their insight - women bring something different and it isn’t good enough that where decisions are made or where we talk about our society, that there are only male voices.”
The event struck a chord with any attendees, who tweeted how inspriational the format of hearing women's personal stories was.
