Home of the Year is back on RTÉ One tonight at 8:30pm. We caught up with host Declan O'Donnell to find out why we as a nation are obsessed with property - and even get a sneak peek into tonight's homes.
Alec Darragh
Alec Darragh is a cycling enthusiast who set off to build himself a garage, and ended up building an entire house! Alec's home is a contemporary end of terrace house in North Dublin that is modern, clean and functional. We bet Declan will love the floor-to-ceiling picture windows!
Michele McNaughton
Michele McNaughton lives in a 19th-century period home that she has filled with luxurious red velvet decor and funky antique finds. Will Declan and the team enjoy Michele’s eclectic style, or will the collection of cuddly frogs be too much for them?
Eric Dunne and Conor Hudson
Eric Dunne and Conor Hudson live in a mid-terrace in Dublin city filled with mid-century furniture and industrial design elements that include a kitchen table made from reclaimed scaffolding planks. Their home has an open feel, and if you sit in the kitchen you see straight through the home to the back garden.
