We were so sorry to see the lovely Hughie sent home from Dancing with the Stars Ireland last night. His dance partner Emily Barker told RTÉ LifeStyle's Soraiya Ryan how hard the Big Brother star had worked for the competition.
Earlier this week, RTÉ LifeStyle won the golden ticket of TV land - an invitation to go behind the scenes of Dancing with the Stars Ireland. After jumping up and down and pulling our wardrobes apart looking for something sparkly to wear, we were all set to cha-cha our way to Ardmore.
The night was full of tears, twirls and tragedy as the first elimination was made.
Not only was twenty-one-old year Hughie entertaining but he was clearly giving it his all last night as he performed an elegant waltz to Will Young's What the World Needs Now is Love.
Nineteen-year-old Emily has been dancing since the age of seven and has represented the UK in numerous World and European Championships as well as becoming the 2010 Ballroom and Latin Junior Champion - to put it simply, the girl is talented and works hard.
We asked the Nottingham dancer for her top fitness tips for those of us with a busy schedule.
"If you've got a spare ten minutes you can do sit-ups and things like that. When I was dancing with Hughie I was always like 'lets do some sit-ups on our break'.'"
Tune into Dancing with the Stars Ireland every Sunday on RTÉ One at 6:30 pm! Catch up now on RTÉ Player.
