In RTÉ's brand new drama Striking Out, Amy Huberman plays the role of Tara Rafferty, a top notch solicitor who discovers that the love of her life has been cheating on her with a colleague. Meanwhile, Neil Morrissey plays silver-tongued barrister Vincent Pike, who's affection for Tara goes beyond the professional line.

RTÉ LifeStyle talked with Neil Morrissey in the IFI

We got chatting with the Men Behaving Badly actor to talk about filming in Dublin and his love for our fair isle.

"One of the great thing things about it (Striking Out) right from the opening sequence is how lush Dublin looks, how lush and very modern, the way that it actually is! You know there's no one walking around with cockles on an old barrow, you know? There's not a flapcat in sight! It looks and feels great, very contemporary."

Striking Out was filmed in Dublin over a number of months but by no means was it Neil's first time in the city.

"I love Dublin, I love Dubliners, it's a great town to hang out in."

You can watch Neil in the final episode of Striking Out on RTÉ Player now.
